Visions Of Death
Visions Of Death (1972) Rewatch? ❎
Help me, I’m on the TV movies again. Mid lecture, a tutor has a detailed premonition of someone planting a bomb, in a building, somewhere. Being the good citizen that they are, they immediately roll up to the police station to report it, muttering about pre-cognition not being very precise (tho seemingly precise enough for them to know the mysterious bomb planter had big hands). Later that night, a bomb goes off and Terry Savalas turns up, convinced the tutor planted the bomb.
That’s all in the first ten or so minutes. Naturally enough it slows down a little bit after that but by seventies TV movie standards, that’s a lot of stuff and, bonus, looks like it’s had a bit more spent on it than usual. It’s nowhere near cinema level, of course, but still - impressive for the time.
It’s all very silly and very seventies (the preoccupation with psychic powers gives it away), it bops along at a fairly good pace and look, it was never going to be a classic but in the TV movie pantheon, it’s one of the better ones I’ve watched. Definitely worse ways to while away some time.
