Shrunken Heads

Shrunken Heads (1994) Rewatch: ✅

Pure Full Moon sleepover film silliness. A shopkeeper brings a bunch of kids back from the dead as boiled, floating, electricity conducting, shrunken heads.

It’s as wildly silly as that sounds. Thoroughly B-Movie fun through and through, it’s daft ass entertainment from the off with the whole kids vs gangsters stuff that leads to murder, resurrection and head shrinking, after that we’re into the realms of flying shrunken heads dealing noggin justice to criminals, complete with hungry hungry zombies for good measure.

It’s always bouncing along from one silliness to the next, Julius Harris is great as the shopkeeper and the chirpy Danny Elfman score keeps the mood chipper throughout.

MR SUMATRA WANTS TO BOIL YOUR HEAD, VINNY.

Frothy and joyous fun that’s never really lost its shine for me.
