Michele Dotrice lightens up the mood as a hitchhiker King picks up on his travels around France, sadly the same can’t be said for the other hitchhiker he picks up, a fresh out of jail guy with a mystery to be solved and some dodgy folk in pursuit.
It’s a bit of a lurch after the first two episodes as Wyngarde spends the entire episode being grumpy and snide, Dotrice keeps it vaguely bubbly but it’s all a bit unnecessarily mean spirited. The mystery itself, starting with a bible in a biscuit tin, is pretty okay though, just no idea what anyone was going for with this one.
